Perfect for those with a lot of tirmming to do!!, 2009-06-28
This Bosch hedgetrimmer was a replacement for my extendable Black& Decker trimmer which was well used for at least 6 years.
it's has half a season's work and I'm very happy with its performance. Althought the reach isn't quite as long as my previous extendable trimmer, it feels well balanced in my hands and not awkward in any way to use when a little stretching is necessary.
Bosch products very rarely let me down and as ever I am very happy to recommend this product.

The Bosch hedge cutter delivered a great cut. The 60cm blade length makes cutting easy. What I also liked about this was the strength of the cut. It was able to cut through branches that were at least 2 to 3cm in diameter.
Clearly this product has been designed with the end user in mind. I was always thinking of buying a more expensive petrol version for my large garden, but with a good extension lead, this is just the job. Copes easily with a large privet hedge, 2009-04-02
It easily cuts through a large privet hedge, (100 ft by 8 ft high). It is on the heavy side, but this is more than counteracted by the ease of cutting through a large, dense hedge. It is a dream to use after struggling with smaller hedge cutters that couldn't cope with the size of the branches. I recommend it.

So happy with this purchase, Such a great quality item for so little money. I have quite a big garden, so wasn't sure this mower would be much good as it is very small. I was so wrong.
This mower is very small, and has a farely small grass collector...But It is so easy to push, is excellent at picking up the cut grass. It really compacts the grass well to fit more in. It is so easy to take out the basket to empty to grass, and easy to put back in. Also the mower is really light and easy to pick up to put away when finished with.
I have quite a large back garden and front garden, and to cut both lawns with this mower, because it is so easy to use. It is such a quick and easy job, both gardens now take 30minutes, if that.
When im not using it, it just hangs up on the shed door, so perfectly.
I would definately reccommend this mower.

My previous Flymo gave up the ghost after a few years of service, but was a bit too heavy and unwieldly for me. I purchased the Bosch as a replacement and really like it. I have owned it for 2 years and it has worked hard for me as I have a mature garden with plenty of hedges etc. It does exactly what it says on the box. It hasn't given any reliability problems so far and I would recommend it, especially as it is lightweight and easy to handle. I don't think it would be well suited to very heavy-duty hedgecutting, but for normal gardens it is excellent - I couldn't be without mine !

I found this trimmer light weight and easy to set up. It is ideal for our small lawn and comes with a generous electric cable length. The cord does have a tendency to snap quite easy but I think I have solved this problem by ensuring I do not pull too much cord out of the spool; the last time I used the trimmer the cord did not snap once.
The Bosch Art 23 is nothing fancy but it is light weight and great value for money. If all you want is a trimmer to keep your garden edges tidy then this is worth considering.

Considering it used to take me about 3 hours with my old corded hedge cutter, I charged both batteries, expecting to easily need both, ready for another long assault on my conifer hedge. After cutting the first swathe, I actually took a step back, amazed at how easily it had managed. Being cordless, I'd expected it to struggle, but it managed to cut through some surprisingly thick branches, easily as thick as the budget corded cutter I previously used. It's light, well balanced and without the worry of a cable to cut, you can get so much more done in the same time. I'd finished the entire hedge on one battery, in less than an hour. It basically made what was normally a long and painful job almost trivial. Now I've tried one, I would never go back to a corded hedge cutter, cordless is just so much safer, as well as being easier to use. Well done Bosch, 5 stars, flawless.
