GREAT book!, 2010-03-19
I agree with the reviewers who are saying that if you only buy one, THIS is the one to buy. The author is clearly a very generous woman who's truly interested in teaching rather than someone who just wishes to show off her own work. Lots and lots of clear, helpful photographs, and a very friendly, thorough, instructive text.
I was also struck by the great variety of techniques and examples of variations she shows -- all really useful for those of us who aren't so interested in projects to copy, but instead in learning techniques in order to design our own stuff.
Also, there's very minimal, modest mention of the fact that Ms. Jenkins runs a business selling quilling materials. I really like that she has not made this book simply an advertising tool for her business. Well done!
I cannot imagine anyone interested in quilling being sorry they purchased this book -- so do!
Great book from beginners to more advanced quillers, 2007-08-31
I bought this book, I believe it was the third I bought. As I had started with others which although good, did not have as many patterns and ideas. this one has plenty so you certainly will not get bored. My guess is you would run out of quilling paper first! All the techniques you need to know are covered in an easy to digest manner.
You will be able to make some fabulous pieces.

New to quilling I had purchased other books but found them too intimidating needing to measure, use pins and graphs. This book is superb as the designs are brilliant and the instructions easy to follow, even the ones using pins etc. The attitude towards quilling in this book is both professional and fun. I couldn't wait to get started. All recipients of cards I've made adapting ideas from this book have been thrilled to receive them.
Can't wait to get started on the next project.
