 B&D stuff falls apart, 2007-09-12
I have been buying Black & Decker products for too long. Their garden products are designed to last 2 to 3 years only. This was told to me by the manager of a large DIY chain when I complained about the frequent failure rate of the B & D products.
Don't waste your money on this rubbish - do some research and buy something sturdier which is made to last.

Does exactly what it says on the tin ,easy to use ,quite powerful for a cordless tool.
Ordered it on 20.5.08 on supersaver delivery received it on the 22.5.08 hows that for service!!.

Lightweight-ish, well balanced, powerful, handy to use, but one problem...
battery only lasts for limited time and then takes a good while to recharge. For more than just a bit of lawn/edge-trimming or other small areas, it would really need 1 or even 2 spare batteries. Unless there is something wrong with the almost new one I have.

Got delivered with 36 hours. So far have had no issues with the auto line feeder, 1st time I have had a cordless strimmer and its great!! All in all completely satisfied and would recommend

This strimmer has a 30cm cutting swathe and reflex intelligent cutting system that insinctively knows when to feed out more line. Gear driven, its powerful motor gives increased torque for greater efficiency and a quicker cut. You can cut around trees, garden furniture and underneath shrubs quickly and easily. A secondary handle is adjustable to the height of the user, making it supremely comfortable to use. This high performance cordless strimmer, with its nylon cutting wire, is very safe to use. In addition it has a safety brake which will stop line rotation in under three seconds. Safety switching means it cant be accidently started because two triggers must be pressed before the strimmer can be started. The 18 Volt battery pack can be charged on the wall bracket or away from the unit. The trimming head can be twisted to convert it to the Trim n Edge function for tidying lawn edges after mowing.
