i bought this item in january 2009,have not used it alot but it seems to stick very easily ,i am only cutting privet hedge.anyway as the guarntee is out of date ,i decided to have a look at the workings.
on inspection i found that the cog and drive mechanism was made of inferior metal and that the cogs had worn away thus not giving much drive and making it stick very easy.will not be buying bosch anymore.

Lady user, can manage it very will, the wire seem to be thinner and lighter than my old one, so need to keep a close eye on it to keep away from the blades.

This product is easy to use, but a little on the heavy side. Make sure that the flex is behind you, coming over your shoulder otherwise it would be easy to cut through the flex. I like the long length of flex instead of a short one (my previous hedgecutter had a short one to attatch to an extention lead which made it heavy).

We didn't want anything too big because we've only got a 12 foot long privet. But looking at what people have said about some smaller hedgetrimmers, I reckoned they wouldn't last long with our hedge. So we went for quality. This machine is a bit too heavy for my wife - I would think the longer ones can't be much heavier, because most of the weight must be in the powerful motor. Only used it once, but very happy so far. It zipped through the hedge like a knife through butter. Nicely balanced too. Buy one!

i cannot make any comment, because it broke down the moment I switched it on. Mind you it looks the part.
