I bought my first one from screwfix (badged as "ferm") and the second from my local diy,badged as a Nutool".I saw these powerdevil ones on offer at Index.Theyre all the same.
They are fine for very occasional use but for everyday use or major house renovation they just wont last."4 volt is around the current limit of usefulness-the 32v are too heavy for constant use.
Its important to set the torque slip when screwdriving so as not to overload the motor.The hammer action is not intended for extensive use.
Always drill a pilot hole for screws over 4mm guage.
The battery (only one supplied with the powerdevil)is a 1.3 ah one and quickly discharges.Each sucessive charge will last a slightly shorter time until you are only putting half a dozen screws in each time.
The charger on the Nutool one lasted about a month before dying.Luckily the brands are interchangeable.
The Nutool gearbox worked loose from the body and now mkes a nice grinding sound.
The ferm has now been dropped from a ladder so Im going to make one out of all the bits.
Once this all fails its off to the dewalt dealer.
power drill cordless- hammer, 2005-09-05 I have the drill....but cannot....for the life of me....get a battery!! Now what to do?
