 Does what it says, 2009-12-06
Needed a reasonably priced shredder for home use. Bought this on the recommendation of the other reviews and very happy with it. Easy to use and works well.

The one irritating thing about this is the box that collects the shredded paper is so small. Apart from that it's a neat little toy.

Well,
It is cheap , good, recommended item for home use where you have 2 paper sheets a day.
But ,
the only problem I found when I put the paper A4 and you want to start using you need then other hand needs hold it. And here the problem appears. Once I tried tightly hold it then paper didn't go in. However while you leave it as you see on the picture the top blue bit come off while you use it.( I hope you got my point). From my ponit of view the top blue bit should bit more secure while using it, and shouldn't come off so easily.

Well, it is inexpensive.
It does the job, albeit one sheet of whatever paper you happen to need shredding at a time.
It's good for security purposes, unwanted credit card receipts etc, and means you are not simply screwing sensitive documents into a ball and throwing them into waste bin hoping this will keep your identity safe from dustbin content thieves.
It is a little delicate, made of plastic, so there is a need to operate it quite gently. I found the one I have, whilst working perfectly given all of the above, does have an irritating propensity to leave 'bits' under the plastic see through lid which then become irretrievable!
Therefore, for very light usage definitely recommended, with the caveat, that gently, and slowly, does it.

This will shred only 1 or posibly 2 sheets of paper at a time. The lid comes of to easily which means that you have to hold it on while you are turning the shredding handle. In saying that it does what it is supposed to and is extremely well priced. If you are a low user of shredders this is a good enough solution.
