 Excellent for home use, 2009-09-03
Much better than my former hand shredder - cuts paper into narrow, short strips. Would be much harder to put them back together. I only do 1 sheet at a time, although it says it takes 2. Cuts credit cards into 4 strips. I would not recommend it for use with a lot of paper, but for bank statements, bills etc it is really great, and it has made me feel more secure when disposing of sensitive paperwork.

We've been using this regularly for a couple of months now. Previously had an A5 manual and A4 electric both of which didn't last long, so have only been shredding one sheet a time to try not to break this! It takes a bit of time to shred as cross-cutting, but has been reliable so far. Would benefit from a better handle, hence 4 star.

The Drapers 3 in 1 Cross Cut Hand Shredder replaced a similar type shredder which I had for years but broke when accidentally shredding several sheets of paper. It's an excellent shredder for light use. Don't shred more than one sheet at the time if the paper is thick and it will last you for years.

We had no experience of this model but on receiving it we were
delighted with its performance. It did exactly what the advert
said, was easy to assemble and use, and we cannot fault the
product.
It was also the first time we had ordered by internet and we
were very impressed with the efficient way in which our order was
processed and the speed of delivery

Bought this shredder 13 Jul 2009, now on the 10 Aug 2009 it's broken whilst feeding two sheets of 120g A4, I took it apart and found two teeth broken off from one of the shredder bars drive gears.
I have used it before on cash till receipts without a problem, although I did find it difficult to turn the handle whilst holding the top of the machine and inserting the paper to be shredded.
I have sent an Email to Draper for new gear, I don't hold too much hope though. Would not recommend this product.
