 sata cable is fine but the power cable is a hazard, 2010-02-03
bought the item for the sata cable and this was fine, however the power cable for molex convertor was terrible , the connectors were very loose. But stupidly i decided to use it. Big mistake, as a smell of burning plastic, although not 100% sure it was the power cable, i would recommend not using it, but the sata cable is fine and very cheap.

Great Item, does exactly what it says on the box. Cables are fine and there were no problems, also seller dispatched in a very reasonable time. The P&P were included in price, so all in all a 5/5 product. very pleased.

The SATA cable is good enough, once connect on the board and the hard-drive it does stick to the slots. Not incredible flexible but it's the nature of this type of cable, no surprises here.
The same goes for the power adaptor although it was a bit tricky to connect the white bit to the power source as the ends weren't as straight as they should.
A very useful kit for a great price!

Cant really rate this on performance, as it just does as it says, an theres very little difference between cables.
It allows you to attach SATA hardrive to a motherboard with the appropriate slots ( Most motherboards as its now the industry standard! ) It also comes with a power adapter to convert a 4 pin to a hardrive power cable.
All this at such a cheap price, you cant go wrong!

My old western digital hard drive was starting to fail so I decided to connect it to the motherboard directly in order to see if that would enlighting the problem. I bought these sata cables for that purpose and at the time it was priced reasonably.
The actual data cable was of a good length and perfectly acceptable, however, the sata power cable had a loose wire as soon as I tried to connect to the hard drive as a result it was useless. It just wasn't robust enough. In the the end I had to buy a separate sata power cable.
