 Dyson DC25, 2010-08-31
This is the first Dyson vacuum cleaner I have owned and I have mixed feelings about it. Without doubt, the suction is amazing and the amount of dirt is gets up puts my old Electrolux to shame. Not having to replace bags is a great bonus as well, especially as it is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain replacement bags. The ball arrangement takes a bit of getting used to but once mastered does enable much more manouverability. My biggest reservation with the Dyson is the procedure one has to go through to disconnect the hose in order to fit the various attachments. Cleaners I have used in the past simply allowed the user to unclip the hose from the cleaner body and fit various brush attachments. The Dyson requires the user to extend the wand from the top of the handle, remove the handle and wand from the cleaner body, detach the wand from the flexible hose and then fit the brush accessory. Once finished with, the whole process has to be completed in reverse to operate the cleaner once more. As a piece of design, it is excellent but I can't help feeling there should be an easier way attach and detach the accessories - maybe I just need more practice.

This is my first Dyson, I have mixed feelings about it
1. The suction is fantastic A1!
2. The weight of the machine is HEAVY I find and would certainly not recommend for the elderly
3. Tools tube is very awkward to use
4. The tilt mechanism is noisy and difficult to get used to
I Expect I will get used to it in time like everything else!

Dyson are just so far advanced. More so than any other vacuum cleaner I have used. The DC25 is the best yet!!
It just glides into every nook and cranny with just a little twist of your wrist. Every part of it looks good and is easy on the eye. It may be a futuristic design but it definitely does the job. The bag is also easier than ever to empty, the suction is ample and movement from laminate flooring to carpet is a dream compared to my old vacs that I had and half the weight too!! In short, if you are thinking of buying a new cleaner, think twice before thinking about buying anything other than a Dyson.
Outstanding, 2010-08-26
My previous vacuum cleaner was the Dyson DC14 which lasted for years and was really good. So it was an easy decision to choose Dyson again. This model is outstanding. It's lighter, sucks harder and steers like a dream. I'd recommend it to anyone.
Dyson DC25 is a big disappointment, 2010-08-31
Having had a Dyson vacuum cleaner before, I chose the so-called lightweight DC25. I find it quite heavy, especially when pushing it backwards and forwards. I thought it would be kind to my back, but far from it. Even my cleaner, who is much younger than me, finds it too heavy. A good deep clean, though.
